Help your children to dig eco-endeavors with a tree-planting party. Sometime between Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 25), honor Mother Nature by joining the Arbor Day Foundation—which includes ten free trees with membership. Sign up at arborday.org and type in your zip code to get the trees best suited to where you live. Then gather the kids and their friends, along with some shovels, to lay down the roots of a mini forest that will serve future generations of wild things (including little girls and boys).
