Good news for the time-crunched: Sex doesn’t have to be long to be enjoyable, says new research out of Penn State Erie. The survey of 50 sex therapists that was reported in the Journal of Sexual Medicine revealed that three to 13 minutes is the optimal amount of time for sexual intercourse. And if you need more reasons to play with your spouse—either in or out of the bedroom—a new study from the University of Denver found that recreation time with your significant other can lead to lower blood pressure, fewer stress hormones and an increase in immune cells, which fight disease. With all those health benefits to enjoy, surely you can find time for a quickie!
