Bake sale. Two words working moms dread. But armed with this easier-than-it-looks recipe from A Baker's Field Guide to Cupcakes, you won't be tempted to wimp out with store-bought brownies. You'll need:
1. Place frosting in a large mixing bowl and beat in vanilla extract and enough food coloring to create a bright yellow color. 2. Spread a thin coat of frosting over the center of each cupcake top to make a 1-inch circle (it's for the chocolate sprinkles to stick to later on).3. Fill the pastry bag with frosting. Pipe petals one by one from the edge of the 1-inch frosting circle out to the edge of the cupcake. Pipe each petal next to the last one, with a bit of overlap for realism. 4. Fill the cupcake's frosted center with chocolate sprinkles.
