Never baked a ham? This recipe will make you a convert—our recipe tester's kids loved it. Use the leftovers for lunch boxes.
Prep Time: 5 minutes, cook time: 60-75 minutes, servings: 12
Ingredients
1/2 cup mild honey, such as clover or orange blossom
1 1/2 tablespoons Toasted Spice Rub
1 fully cooked spiral-sliced boneless ham, about 4 pounds
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325F. In a small bowl, stir together honey and Toasted Spice Rub.
2. With a sharp knife, make slits in the ham perpendicular to the spiral slices, 1/2 inch deep and 1/2 inch apart.
3. Place ham in a rimmed pan and evenly spread glaze over it. Bake, basting every 15 minutes with pan juices, until warmed through, about an hour. A meat thermometer will register 120F.
4. Remove ham from oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Arrange slices on a platter and drizzle with pan juices. Serve with Honey-Roasted Applesauce.
